Facebook has just increased its number of subscribers by 400 million compared to last year, for the month of October 2021. Marc Zuckerberg's social network is taking the lead with 2.895 billion users. This information comes from the Global Statshot Digital Report 2021 by Hootsuite and We Are Social, which analyzes internet and social media usage worldwide.

Here is the ranking of the top 10 most used social media networks in October 2021.

  1. Facebook occupies the first position with 2.895 billion users.
  2. YouTube has 2.291 billion users.
  3. WhatsApp with 2 billion users
  4. Instagram with 1.393 billion users.
  5. Facebook Messenger with 1.3 trillion users.
  6. WeChat has 1.251 billion users.
  7. TikTok with 1,000 billion users
  8. Douyin with 600 billion users
  9. QQ with 591 billion users
  10. Sina Weibo has 566 billion users
